Ok... after many years of using 3D Studio Max (way back to 1.2) I have decided to get some formal training in the program. I am someone that would rather learn on my own because I feel I learn more that way, but in the case of 3ds max I don't think it is easy to be self taught and work effective. KI has recently purchased many new seats of 3ds max and this is what got me into the training class. As part of the AutoCAD and Sales force support team it was beneficial for me to ensure that I am creating geometry that works best for use in 3ds max. Along with that, make sure that I can further support the people that I support day to day with the software.
I have passed Ted in the long walks to and from the MGM Grande hotel in Las Vegas at AU (Autodesk University), but have never sat down and talked to the man. He is really amazing and knows his stuff. He is by far one of the best presenters and trainers that I have taken a class from. Very down to earth examples and can convey concepts and ideas in plain English that even the most basic users can understand. I am taking the class with 5 other co-workers that from KI that have skills that range from AutoCAD to Pro-E and many have never used the 3ds max application. They all are able to follow and understand Ted in the class. I will post some pictures if I take some tomorrow on my final day of class.
Ted Boardman, the Master...
The class is held in Green Bay, WI at Virtual Partners training center.

Please tell Ted "Hello" for me. He is a great and knowledgable guy and reminds me of a good ZZTop tune. I have been a teaching assistant of his at AU in the past.
