The CAD Blogging Community just got a little bigger recently. Fellow CAD user Jane Smith has launched her venture into the blogging world with the blog "Using Raster Design with AutoCAD". Jane is a great individual and I look forward to the information that she has to share. From the postings and the name of the blog I am sure she will be covering Raster Design and AutoCAD.

Hello all out there... it has been a very wild and crazy last couple of months, but hope to be post on a more frequent basis. I have been working on some projects for my website (coming soon features and content) and for other companies, so that is were most of my attention has been lately. The reason why I am posting tonight is that I have recently noticed some abuse taking place on my blog, so I have decided to implement one of the newest features that TypePad provides to its bloggers.
Many of my fellow bloggers use the feature as well, but due to some poor in taste trackbacks and comments that I have been deleting from the blog posts it has forced me to implement the approval system for all comments and trackbacks. So if you do post comments please continue to do so and if the comments are appropriate content they will be approved with no problems. This is to simply stop those that attempt to use web forums and blogs as a way to transport spam across the net.

This posting marks my 200th blog posting since this blog was started about 15 months ago... there have been some days that this blog has seen a lot of traffic (especially with AutoCAD 2006) and some days to weeks were I have had little to write about because of my work load. Recently over the last couple of years Blogs have really started to take off. Blogs are often used as a way to publish content with a personal tough because they are so easy to use. So you might find things that are going on in ones day to day life and the authors topics of interest, like AutoCAD, programming and technology.
Feedburner is a new way of getting content from a Blog to another site, like a website or a link site. It generates an animated image that cycles through the newest postings. It is possible to do the same thing with a website that might be publishing an RSS or Atom feed as well. Feedburner was shown to me a couple weeks ago and I thought it was a great way to display content from my Blog back to my website. I would have never thought that others were going to start displaying the same thing on their website and that is what makes the Internet a great place.
Steven of Vizdepot.com has added the same Feedburner image to his website for Beyond the UI and a couple other popular Blogs. So help spread the word and get the information moving. Below is the HTML Code if you want to add Beyond the UI to your link site or web page to get some industry news.

Back on October 6th... my web log "Beyond the UI" reached another milestone with its 100th posting, the first milestone that was reached was 10,000 visitors a couple months prior. What started off as a way to get content out there that varied from my web site, has proved to be very valuable to many out there. Hope you have enjoyed so far, as I hope to keep providing some more information on customization in the months and years to come.
